Around the world, there are people who live under conditions most Americans would find unspeakable. Children in war-torn areas in the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia have to tip-toe through minefields, go days without food or water, and have no voice in how their country is governed whatsoever.
Here in the United States, we challenge you to find anyone with lifestyles anywhere close to this. Sure, families in Appalachia, the Midwest, and other pockets of the country are being torn apart over opioid abuse. City streets in places like California are littered with needles used to inject drugs, and mental illness is on the rise in many areas. These are horrible problems, and it’s easy to argue that America can do more to reverse them.
But, let’s not kid ourselves, comparing the worst of America to the worst in parts of the Third World is laughable. While the abhorrent conditions in Los Angeles’ Skid Row are jaw-dropping, they are the exception rather than the rule. As it turns out, America remains a pretty awesome place to live, even if you’re experiencing difficult times in your life.
This is not the impression you would get after watching the video below. And mind you, these aren’t kids living in the drug-afflicted hellscapes we mentioned above. Most of the time, these are college campuses with brick walls, plenty of food, and living conditions many people around the country would be willing to fight for. Absolutely none of these people are “oppressed” in any meaningful way.
We don’t want to be those guys that tell you that all liberals are like this — we hope that isn’t the case. But, there’s no denying the fact that the American left is broken both morally and spiritually — there’s no other explanation for the things you’ll see in these clips.
