Biden Threatens To Veto Israel Aid–WHY?

His office stated this week that President Biden was going to veto the House Republicans’ plan to increase aid to Israel that is expected to be paid for by cutting taxes on individuals. The Congressional Budget Office claims the tax cuts would make the national debt grow.

It was announced this week by the White House Office of Budget and Management that the government “strongly disagrees with House approval of the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act (ISSA)”. This is a plan that would give $14 billion to Israel without giving any money to Ukraine or Taiwan. Biden wants to see a bill passed that gives each of the three nations help, with $61.4 billion being given to Ukraine.

“The bill doesn’t improve American national security in a bipartisan way; instead, it makes things worse by widening our differences and weakening long-standing support from both parties for Israel’s security,” according to part of the statement.

The Office of Budget and Management at the White House stated, “The President would issue a veto on this law if it were submitted to him.”

As noted by Punchbowl News, the congressional budgeting office released its assessment of the bill this week. It found that it would add $12.5 billion to the national debt by 2033 by cutting IRS income by an estimated $27 billion.

According to Punchbowl News co-founder Jake Sherman, if the IRS cutbacks had not been connected to the measure, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) “probably would have passed the bill by 350-400 votes and jammed the Senate.”

Sherman also said that the number of Democrats who would vote for the bill that would cut the IRS would probably be very low, and the Senate would not likely take it up. Sherman says that in this situation, there is a greater chance that Senate Republicans will think about passing a bill that follows Biden’s idea and ties aid for Israel to aid for Ukraine and money for more refugee officers and border patrol agents in the United States.

Sherman points out that Senate Republicans would have been compelled to draft a different measure to finance Ukraine and Biden’s demand for more asylum officers and border patrol agents if a strong, independent Israel bill had been passed without offsets related to the IRS.

It’s worth noting that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has agreed with Biden that aid to Israel should be tied to money for aid to Ukraine.

“I mean, I am aware that a few Republicans in the Senate and possibly more within the House claim that Ukraine is not like other countries. I think it’s all linked,” McConnell stated to CBS News’ Face the Nation at the end of October.

They are going to vote on their assistance plan this week in the House.

  1. The only constant in biden’s administration is that if it is good for America, biden is against it.

    HE IS THE ENEMY WITHIN.

STAND ALONE BILLS EXPOSE THE PORK. EVERYTHING SHOULD STAND OR FALL ON ITS OWN MERIT.

THE WORLD WILL BE A BETTER PLACE WHEN BIDEN IS GONE

    1. STAND ALONE BILLS for certain! I think this total article is B.S. If I understood correctly, the House passed bill trims $14B from the IRS to cover the $14B for Israel. Bottom Line: It seems like Biden would rather hire 88,000 new IRS Agents to torment Americans, than to help our allies in war.

  2. Impeach the Illegitimate presidency and administration of biden and harris for Treason and Sedition against the American people and the Constitution.

  3. Why, not take money they give too Iran, AND give it to Israel. That might piss off Obama, and his Muslim buddies. Remove the globalist from destroying our Nation. And open the Keystone pipe line. Energy independents, will make us strong, and weaken Iran and Those wanting to destroy Israel and the United States.

  4. joe still thinks barry is president and he is vice president
so alah obama is in control
and joe and the rest of the bidens are making big bucks off ukraine useless war

  5. Two separate bills with the one for Ukraine requiring an audit of the funds already sent to Ukraine as a requirement. The American public should have a right to see how their tax dollars are spent. If the spending priorities were shifted away from waste by holding congress and the president responsible for how our tax dollars were used I’m confident we could support the things that are important and begin to have a balanced budget. The corruption in our Government is immense – this needs to stop. The democrats and RINOS are ruining our Republic

  6. I agree with your thoughts here! We have a very weak minded president……wish he would just go away! We need real leadership in DC……difficult to find though!

  7. if biden vetoes money to israel, but still stands with ukraine, he just killed his chances of re-election. BIDEN RUINED OUR COUNTRY TO THE POINT OF NO RETURN. UNLESS WE GET PRESIDENT TRUMP BACK IN THE SADDLE WE ARE DOOMED. YOU CAN THANK BIDEN AND OBAMA FOR THIS. NOW OBAMA THINKS WE ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO VOTE FOR AMERICA HATING MICHELLE OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT. I THINK HAVING 2 DEMOCRAT LOSERS IS ENOUGH FOR AMERICA. AMERICA IS A REPUBLIC, DEMOCRACY IS JUST ANOTHER WORD FOR SOCIALISM. WE ARE AGAINST ”’COMMUNISM”’AND ””SOCIALISM”’ IN OUR COUNTRY. SO LET US VOTE REPUBLICAN IN 2024……….

  8. WHY DO ””DEMOCRATS”’ ALWAYS ”’THREATEN US. BIDEN LIKE OBAMA, IF THINGS DO NOT GO THEIR WAY THEY ””THREATEN”’ BUT NEVER HAVE A ”” SOLUTION”’. TO ALL THE PROBLEMS THEY CREATE. IF THEY WOULD KNOW HOW TO GOVERN THEY DID NOT HAVE TO BLAME ALL THEIR MISTAKES ON THE GOP. WHAT A SAD CORRUPT , LYING PARTY THEY ARE…

  9. Biden can’t veto nothing, but he knows if he doesn’t try Ukraine will rat him out like China is doing now, but either way Joe pumpkin head Biden is all done, but I hope and pray everyday and night that the lord will turn the tables on those loosers, now their playing games with our lives and families unfortunately Biden doesn’t care what happens to us and he doesn’t even like us witch I can care less but I bet you his as* will be taking care of, because he’s a criminal and everyone knows this, if he gets impeached I do believe that hell will freeze over but until then I’ll be waiting. But I do know one thing for sure Biden will not win even if he cheated, he’s done, don’t vote for Joe because he has to go.
