Following a congressional hearing concerning unidentified anomalous phenomenon (UAP) sometimes referred to as UFOs, John Ratcliffe, a former director of national intelligence, stated that “more transparency” was necessary.
According to Ratcliffe, the Biden administration “made a decision to make sure to not disclose much and now you are faced with House Republicans having to hold these public hearings,” while in an interview with Fox anchor Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures.”
Ratcliffe said, “I think there should be greater transparency on this matter, but not full disclosure. The common defense is the primary responsibility of the federal government, and you realize we do not share all of the national security data with the American people, however, the government could’ve done better.”
This week’s UAP hearing was held by a House Oversight subcommittee and featured testimony coming from David Grusch, a former United States military and intellect official who decided to come forward with his claims in which non-human origin craft have been recovered and kept from Congress, as well as two Navy veterans who have made claims about enigmatic flying objects that seem to defy physics and could pose a threat to the country’s security.
The Department of Defense insisted in a statement that its office charged with looking into UFOs, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), “has not uncovered any credible evidence to substantiate claims that any initiatives regarding the custody or reverse-engineering of extraterrestrial substances have existed in the past or currently exist.” Sean Kirkpatrick, director of AARO, added that the hearing was “insulting” to the members of his staff.
Since departing from government service, Ratcliffe, a former member of the US Congress and the final director of national intelligence under the Trump administration, has sometimes discussed UAP.
Ratcliffe said that “multiple sensors” were detecting enigmatic flying objects with odd features in March 2021. Additionally, he asserted that there were “a great deal more sightings than were originally made public.” Since then, the federal government has increased its attempts to look into UAP sightings and make public some details on hundreds of encounters, but Ratcliffe claimed that the Biden administration has handled the project badly.
This week, Ratcliffe added, “Had the government handled this a little bit better, it would not have been as contentious.”
Ratcliffe said that “there are many things that are unexplained. I’ve erred on the verge of disclosing secret information. I can’t cross that boundary. Nothing would make this administration happier than if I accidentally crossed a line containing secret information. Simply said, I believe that there was additional details we could have shared to discuss all of that.”
I remember this happening a long time ago in Roswell New Mexico, A unknown space object had crashed and the bodies were sent to David Monthan Military base. The pictures of the bodies were shown on TV and and the wreckage where it landed was shown on TV!
That incident was expunged from all Records!
This whole UFO/UAP situation is missed opportunity. I sure someone, a large tourism company would love to sell tours. If they (“Men in Black”) have bodies and crashed UFOs, a way to contact them is possible
