The recent allegations against Chris Cuomo, a once-respected media personality, are nothing short of disgraceful. Angela Rye, a progressive political commentator and former CNN colleague, has courageously come forward with claims of harassment, detailing how Cuomo sent her explicit text messages. This incident, allegedly occurring three years ago, further tarnishes the already damaged reputation of Cuomo.
Rye’s revelation on her new podcast “Native Land Pod” exposes the ugly truth behind the façade of a man once seen as a leading media figure. According to Rye, the harassment began with a crude comment from Cuomo about a photo she posted on Instagram, wearing a gold-sequined bikini. His comment, “Happy New Year, tinsel crotch,” was not only unprofessional but utterly disrespectful and demeaning. Rye’s reaction to this message, filled with confusion and tears, underscores the emotional toll such behavior can have on individuals, especially in a professional environment.
What is equally disturbing is Cuomo’s alleged follow-up texts, where he continued to make inappropriate remarks, despite Rye’s clear discomfort and lack of response. His behavior demonstrates a blatant disregard for professional boundaries and respect for colleagues. It’s appalling to think that someone in his position of power and influence would exploit it in such a demeaning way.
Rye’s fear and hesitation in speaking up against Cuomo’s behavior are reflective of the broader issue of power dynamics in workplaces. Her concern about jeopardizing her career and the fear of backlash are all too common in cases of harassment. It’s a stark reminder of how individuals in positions of power can manipulate situations to their advantage, leaving the victims feeling helpless and marginalized.
The situation becomes even more sinister with Rye’s revelation that soon after the harassment, she was informed that her contract with CNN would not be renewed. This timing raises serious questions about the motivations behind her contract’s termination and whether it was linked to her interactions with Cuomo.
What’s equally concerning is Cuomo’s history of similar accusations from other former colleagues. This pattern of behavior suggests a systemic issue that goes beyond just one individual. It speaks to a culture where such actions are not only tolerated but also, perhaps, implicitly encouraged.
As for Cuomo, his silence in response to these allegations is deafening. It’s a shameful abdication of responsibility and accountability. The media industry, and indeed all professional environments, must take a stand against such behavior. It’s time to foster a culture where respect, professionalism, and ethical conduct are the norm, not the exception, as it seems to be for Democrats.
There is NO surprise here, especially with someone who thinks the world revolves around him~~it doesn’t.
My question is why? Maybe this happened, but I’m not so sure.
Here we have a good-looking man, with money, prestige, he can feed himself/dress himself. All important things women look for.
I’m thinking he probably could get just about any woman he wants in today’s world.
Why would he have to rape anyone? Why would he put himself in harm’s way to destroy his reputation, or go to jail?
I’m just not buying it. She is most likely after his money!!
It is because he has power and money, he thinks he can get everything he wants; and will never pay the price. He thinks he is untouchable. It is the same reason why celebrities waste money on fast cars, luxurious homes and expensive clothes.
I am a Wrangler Jean Guy, Flannel Shirts, Drive a 20 year old, low mileage vehicle, have a 17 year old nice diesel truck for towing a car/utility enclosed trailer. All these are paid for, I’ve been married for 40+ years, have 3 well-grounded kids, 7 grandkids and a nice 2500sf home on 2.4 acres.
I don’t need to put on a false face to impress anyone.
What planet are you on ruth Who rapped who what Read the story again
Hey Ruth. Just because YOU would have no problem being ‘raped’ by Cuomo, doesn’t mean all women are as bad as you.

I for one am tired of hearing about this type of situation years down the road with only her or his side of the story.
Wake up people. Print off copies or record this info for proof of the situation. Then sue the hellllllll out of the people doing these stupid things. There is plenty of sex to go around.
