At ninety-two years old, Dan Rather, the former CBS News anchor who lost his job due to a report on the former president George W. Bush that used falsified papers, does not appear to be peacefully sailing into retirement.
Rather, he unleashed two bombs on social media on Wednesday in the course of six hours: one tweet on former President Donald Trump and the other about pro-lifers.
He unleashed this at eleven in the morning.
As one might expect, Rather’s remarks generated a lot of media attention.
Not everyone was on Rather’s frequency, despite the fact that he has a plethora of social media supporters who happily lapdog his posts.
Rather, he also shared his critique of Trump on X, and a few well-known users objected to it:
- “Dan, you are false news. Political pundit Gunther Eagleman said, “Everyone knows.”
- “How dumb do they think we are?” NewsBusters questioned, emphasizing Rather’s “it is not about politics” statement.
- Comedian Jimmy Dore commented, “He says this to divert your attention from the reality that Obama utilized the Espionage Act to prosecute journalists more times than all of the previous presidents combined, and that Biden and the establishment are presently torturing and executing Julian Assange.” The corporate media that Dan Rather adores and @DanRather are the enemies of the people.

There was a time in my life(69) years of it, that I respected people like Dan Rather and Chris Wallace. But we were lambs being lead to the slaughter. We weighed the facts you stated as to the reasons not to vote for Trump, and found them wanting and far more descriptive of the violations carried out during the Biden regime against citizens! Dan I`m 92 years old but maybe not as senile as some 92 year olds. But that may not be senility but rather an old ultra Liberal just sounding off. If it makes you feel better to trash Trump go for it. We still have a few rights left and Freedom of Speech is one of them.
