Representative Dan Goldman, a Democrat from New York, asserted this week that Republicans won’t discover the alleged “bribery” tapes connected to President Biden.
Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) claims that an FBI informant dossier claims Bursima founder Mykola Zlochevsky reportedly paid Joe and Hunter Biden and preserved 17 audio recordings of their discussions as an “insurance policy.”
Republicans either are aware the tapes are fake or won’t ever get their hands on them, according to Goldman, a member of the House Oversight Committee, who spoke to Punchbowl News.
He asserted, “I genuinely think they either know that the recordings do not exist or they know they are never going to get them. Instead, they are utilizing the implied mention of them to level accusations against them that will never be able to be supported or refuted since they won’t be found.”
James Comer, the chair of the House Oversight Committee, stated to Fox News this week that the FBI paper should be taken seriously since it is based on a highly reliable source.
“The FBI has paid this informant more than $200,000,” he claimed. “We suspect that this source might also be employed by the CIA. Additionally, this informant dates back to the Obama administration.”
According to Comer, the FBI informed him that “releasing documents or telling you anything regarding potential tapes could jeopardize the life of the FBI informant.”
During a Judiciary Committee hearing this week, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) questioned FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate about whether or not the agency is in possession of the tapes.
He acknowledged that the FBI is in possession of the document claiming the 17 recordings and said, “I’m not going to dive farther into that.”
“No one is stonewalling, Senator,” Abbate stated.
While Republican senators pressed Joe Biden for clarity over his 2017 tax returns, in which his business, “CelticCapri Corp,” declared almost $10 million in income without mentioning revenue line items, the FBI refused to provide any information about the suspected bribery plot. Concerns are raised regarding who funded the company and why in light of Joe Biden’s suspected involvement in the $5 million Ukrainian “bribery” plot due to the lack of transparency.
According to Jerry Allison, a CPA of Allison Financial Services who has worked in accounting for over 30 years, it may be “common” for personal tax returns to exclude line item revenue from S Corporation firms, but the omission should worry House investigators.
He said, “In my view, both S Corporation filings should be analyzed to determine the real amount of revenue and to gather information on the potential source of the income. The S Corporation returns could identify additional entities where the income could have come from.”
Only 31% of Americans indicated they did not believe the Biden family accepted funds from foreigners to influence policies, compared to 52% who do, according to polls. 15% of people were unsure.
