Once again, Democrats are living according to one of their most cherished political dictatures: “Always accuse your adversary of that which you are doing.”
But they are doing it in a humorous way this time.
Democratic legislators who served on the House Select Jan. 6 Committee recently expressed their fear of being imprisoned if former President Donald Trump wins the presidency in November, according to the Los Angeles Times, as the presidential election heats up.
“Now that Trump is certain to secure the Republican presidential nomination, some of those legislators are finding themselves acting contrary to their own advice as his remarks grow more and more dictatorial and his criminal proceedings face delays that might prolong them into election day. Trump stated on social media in the middle of March that the committee members needed to go to jail. He declared in December that he would take power “day one.” He declared in August that he would “have no option” except to imprison his political rivals.
According to Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), “I believe I would be on that list” if Trump “intends to dismantle our constitutional system and start arresting his political adversaries.”
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) didn’t let up. In order to create a strategy to defend himself in the event that Trump goes all Stalin on him, he said he is conducting “real-time talks” with staff members. “We have watched this movie before, and we know how dangerous it is to believe someone when they declare they want to be in charge,” he complained.
The degree to which President Joe Biden has used the federal government as a political weapon against political rivals makes this projection seem classic in scope. From politically driven prosecutions against the Orange Man What Is BadTM to actions against pro-life protestors and the designation of parents as “domestic terrorists,” Democrats’ willingness to use government power to punish those on the other side of the political spectrum is evident.
Federal authorities have in fact been attempting to stifle online contrarian speech when it challenges Democratic narratives regarding elections, the COVID-19 epidemic, and other topics.
The level of corruption under Biden has been so high that House Republicans have established a committee to look into the government’s weaponization.
Even though they know they won’t face political prosecution, individuals like Schiff and Lofgren are attempting to portray Trump as a vengeful tyrant to sway public opinion. Alternately, maybe they are averting potential legal action because they are aware that they have secrets.
Perhaps a little bit of both.
But it is obvious that Biden wants to exploit the state’s power to further the political goals of the Democrats. It is kind of strange that Democrats are even engaging in this game in this contentious political climate. The idea that they genuinely worry the former president would avenge them simply serves to highlight Biden’s criminality once again. Maybe these people should start in their own tent if they truly want to combat the weaponization of government.

I’m 67 & ever since Carter I have been voting. Traditionally, Democrats haven’t changed much! They still spend money like teenagers & never take responsibility for what messes their policies leave them in. But Joe Biden has ALWAYS wanted to be president since he came into the Senate that’s been his goal.
