Department of Homeland Security Working to ‘Identify, Respond to Spread of Conspiracy Theories,’ Agency Claims

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) via a press release on Wednesday said they were “engaging industry partners to help identify and respond to the spread of disinformation, conspiracy theories, and false narratives on social media and other online platforms, while protecting privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties.”

The National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS), at the same time, issued a bulletin saying “conspiracy theories” are inspiring people to carry out acts of violence, while simultaneously admitting that there is no immediate or specific imminent threat.

“Law enforcement officials have expressed concerns that the broad sharing of false narratives and conspiracy theories that endorse the use of violence will continue to gain traction, resulting in individuals or small groups embracing violent tactics to achieve their desired objectives,” said the NTAS.

“DHS is concerned that increased acts of violence, as well as targeted attacks against law enforcement, may strain local resources and challenge the ability of law enforcement to maintain the safety and security of local communities.”

Interestingly, this statement wasn’t made in the summer of 2020, while Antifa and Black Lives Matter were burning, looting and rioting their way across America.

They also added that in response to the non-existent threats, the DHS will be attempting to “identify and respond to the spread of disinformation, conspiracy theories, and false narratives on social media and other online platforms.”

Apparently, sharing information on social media is now an act of terrorism if “fact checkers” deem said information “false,” and what is concerning, is how broadly the language is being used.

“Through the remainder of 2021 and into 2022, racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists and anti-government/anti-authority violent extremists will continue to pose a threat to the United States,” stated the NTAS. “Pandemic-related stressors have contributed to increased societal strains and tensions, driving several plots by DVEs, and they may contribute to more violence this and next year,”

Are they speaking of parents airing their grievances at school board meetings, or people asking questions and sharing valuable information about the COVID-19 “vaccines” and resulting adverse reactions, or perhaps they are referring to now unemployed people protesting against totalitarian “vaccine” mandates?

The NTAS’ bulletin also said that if another China Virus variant were to emerge, it would somehow trigger a violent uprising, and then randomly added that “violent extremists” could target healthcare providers or the American Muslim community, specifically refugees that have recently come to the U.S. from Afghanistan.

Huh?

“If a new COVID-19 variant emerges and new public health restrictions are imposed as a result, anti-government violent extremists could potentially use the new restrictions as a rationale to target government or public health officials or facilities,” said the NTAS. “In addition, some DVEs have attempted to use the relocation of Afghan nationals to the United States to exacerbate historical DVE grievances over immigration and the American Muslim community.”

Basically, anyone who is seen as “anti-government” will be categorized as “Domestic Violent Extremists” (DVEs).

The NTAS statement continued:

“Ideologically motivated violent extremists fueled by personal grievances and violent extremist ideological beliefs continue to derive inspiration from and obtain operational guidance, including regarding the use of improvised explosive devices and small arms, through the consumption of information shared in online forums. The use of encrypted messaging by violent extremists may obscure operational indicators that provide specific warning of a pending act of violence.”

By their standards, we’re literally ALL domestic terrorists.

Oh, excuse me, “DVEs.”

They’re coming after each and every one of us, ladies and gentlemen.

  7. And what did you expect from a country that lets people like the SQUAD into the political make up of (what used to be our) country.
This is what you end up with. Anarchy, deceit, violence, etc,
Be prepared, keep your powder dry & don’t fall victim to the Democrats & RINO’s socialism scam. It has NO place in America.
I mean, we did fight wars over this subject, but since the public school system doesn’t teach history or social studies anymore, the young are being brainwashed by the left extremism.
