DeSantis Gains Steam, Gets His First Major Endorsement

As the Florida governor campaigned in Oklahoma this week, the governor of Oklahoma, Kevin Stitt, backed Ron DeSantis for president.

DeSantis has never had a governor support him before, so this endorsement is significant. Jim Justice (WV) and Henry McMaster (SC) are the two governors who have so far endorsed Trump.

In a statement, Stitt said of Governor DeSantis, “I am proud to endorse him for president. He is a strong conservative and a moral leader. DeSantis didn’t give up states’ rights and individual liberty to groupthink during COVID, as colleague governors did. Because DeSantis acted with unwavering conviction and shared our principles for a small government and free nation, Oklahomans will remember that he was one of the few who never caved in the face of difficulty throughout this election season.”

DeSantis was referred to by Stitt as a “proven leader,” and he boldly “delivered solutions for the citizens of Florida that laid the foundation for a booming economy, an educational system geared toward student outcomes, and improved infrastructure for hardworking families.”

“A candidate who is able to win and sustain winning as a two-term president will be necessary to deliver these similar achievements throughout the country and undo the terrible liberal mandates of the Biden administration,” according to Stitt. “Ron DeSantis is that leader, I’m sure of it.”

Jim Bridenstine, a former United States congressman who previously worked as NASA Administrator for Trump and had been a member of the House Freedom Caucus, and 20 state lawmakers from Oklahoma backed DeSantis this week.

  1. I like what Desantis has done in FLORIDA and he has backed American citizens. If they are short of farm workers it’s because the ones on Welfare were subjected to work and probably moved to a blue state to stay on Welfare.
Giving people free education is not working. They give the Welfare people a $20,000 dollar free grant, they sign up for school and never go one day but they can spend the money on anything they want. Most are involved in drugs and selling illegal drugs. My grandson spent 5 years in Military so he could have money for education but he couldn’t get into college because the Welfare people came first but never attended one day. That’s CA and a t that time Brown but Newsom is much worse
We can’t afford to support almost 6000 kids for fostercare . Are these kids Biden’s caravan kids? How many already been used for the Chinese packing plants
Investigation needed to stop the abuse. Newsom not saying anything about the kids being bused to our areas in white government buses and grey buses.

I think Stitt is full of shit!

  3. He can’t match Trump in foreign affairs, economy, dealing with foreign leaders. Our friends and relatives in Fla don’t care for him!
