President Joe Biden’s handlers were quick to brush off a series of disturbing leaks about Vice President Kamala Harris, as political insiders consider whether the White House was in on the hit.
Republican-led criticism of Harris squarely targets her unprecedented failure as the so-called “border czar.” After the Biden Administration tapped her to gain control of the humanitarian crisis at the U.S. Southern border, she dropped out of sight. In what seemed like a game of “Where’s Waldo,” Harris surfaced at a swanky bakery.
When pressed by NBC’s left-leaning Lester Holt about her failure to visit the wreckage at the U.S.-Mexico border, she acted flippant and disrespectful on national television by responding, “I haven’t been to Europe.”
It was only after former President Donald Trump announced plans to tour the human carnage and migrant children treated like caged animals that the VP arranged a border tour. Even then, Harris limited her exposure to one of the least impacted areas — El Paso, Texas. Her ongoing ineptitude and now-famous slacker attitude have even Democrats and the liberal media calling for her head.
“One Democratic operative tells Axios’ Alayna Treene that most Democrats aren’t saying, ‘Oh, no, our heir apparent is f—king up, what are we gonna do?’ It’s more that people think, ‘Oh, she’s f—king up, maybe she shouldn’t be the heir apparent,’” left-wing Axios reportedly reported.
“Some Democrats close to the White House are increasingly concerned about Harris’s handling of high-profile issues and political tone-deafness, and question her ability to maintain the coalition that Biden rode to the White House,” sources reportedly told Axios’ Hans Nichols.
It seems only fitting that an opportunist like Kamala Harris would now be subjected to slanderous remarks from anonymous sources within her own party. According to reports from left-wing outlets, Harris’ disgraceful treatment of her staff and handling of political priorities have been labeled a “sh-tshow.”
Out one side of the Biden Administration’s mouthpiece — Jen Psaki — the White House press corps gets lukewarm messaging that the handlers have every confidence in the often missing in action Veep.
“I will say that the Vice President is an incredibly important partner to the President of the United States,” White House Press Secretary “Circle Back” Jen Psaki reportedly said. “She has a challenging job, a hard job, and she has a great supportive team of people around her, but other than that, I’m not going to have any more comment on those reports.”
Unlike the sieve of leaks orchestrated by liberal bureaucrats during the previous administration, the prevailing wisdom is that Biden’s handlers and powerful Democrats are trying to undermine her. That’s largely because high-ranking party leaders fear that Kamala Harris could not stand toe-to-toe with former President Trump if he decides to run in 2024. And even a cursory look at her low likability polls against the likes of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis or South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem demonstrate the left will lose the White House in 2024.
Leaks about the type of person the country’s number two “leader” is were highlighted in a recent bombshell report about the inner-working of her office.
“People are thrown under the bus from the very top, there are short fuses, and it’s an abusive environment,” one of Politico’s multiple sources reportedly stated. “It’s not a healthy environment, and people often feel mistreated. It’s not a place where people feel supported but a place where people feel treated like sh–t.”
What’s truly startling is that these reports and criticisms are not coming from Republicans.
