Democrats in the House and Senate are pleading with President Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to make it simpler for illegal aliens who have been “unjustly deported” to enter the country again.
Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) as well as Representatives Adriano Espaillat (D-NY), Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO), and David Trone (D-MD) ask Biden’s DHS in a letter to create a streamlined procedure so that illegal aliens who have previously been deported from the country can appeal their cases with a greater chance of coming back.
“Creating a central office to review requests for permission to return to the United States from individuals who may have been unfairly or wrongfully deported is entirely within DHS’s broad legal power and would provide fairness in addition to credibility to our nation’s immigration system.”
“Returning the fathers, moms, leaders in the community, and laborers who have been wrongfully deported also represents a critical first step toward changing the current immigration system in the United States to one that encourages community and family unity.”
The Democrats’ demand comes after Biden sharply reduced deportations.
As we previously reported, only 16,351 illegal aliens who were apprehended by the local law enforcement agencies were deported by ICE agents in those first nine months of the Biden administration, a 71 percent decrease from the almost 56,000 unlawful aliens deported in the very same period of 2019.
Americans are already paying for the assistance given to illegal immigrants trying to avoid deportation.
According to an analysis by the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI), taxpayers in around 50 towns and localities “are spending about $66,145,000 on attorneys who are attempting to maintain illegal aliens, foreign criminals, as well as other immigration violators” in the United States.
This country was founded by foreigners who were here legally, as it was not yet a country! Now that it is and has laws, people entering this country should do so legally. I am tired of the people coming across the southern border ILLEGALLY and expecting us to give them handouts. Some have already been deported because they broke our laws, and some our MS13, and some are part of the Cartels. The Border Patrol’s hands are tied, and it is time for the immigration to stop! We have enough trouble with homelessness due to our government paying them not to work. Now we have millions living in hotels. Unlike the immigrants from all over the world that helped in building the USA, the immigrants infiltrating the our Country now, are only coming here for all the “freebies” and “handouts” they’re not entitled to.
