Raju questioned Manchin about the possibility of him drawing moderate Republican voters who are disillusioned with Trump, and whether this could inadvertently lead to Trump’s election. Manchin reiterated his previous statements, asserting he would never support Donald Trump and wouldn’t want to act as a spoiler in the election. He emphasized his love for America and his refusal to support Trump, based on his observations and concerns about the country’s future.

In a hypothetical match-up including Trump, Biden, Manchin, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the poll showed Biden and Trump nearly tied, with Manchin and Kennedy garnering minimal support. The poll indicated that Manchin might draw more support from Independents than from Democrats or Republicans.
Despite the challenges facing third-party candidates, Manchin has embarked on a “listening tour” in New Hampshire and established the group Americans Together. His actions suggest he’s considering a third-party run, although he’s well aware of the uphill battle such a campaign faces. As the election approaches, Manchin’s intentions and potential impact on the race will be closely watched by both parties.
