Attorney General Merrick Garland’s announcement that he would target parents who express opposition to school board directives generated national news. Thankfully, parents aren’t taking the order lying down, as a group is now suing the AG in order to recoup their right to free speech.
The American Freedom Law Center, which brought the suit on behalf of the parents, has rightly noted that the Justice Department has no jurisdiction in the matter. The suit further notes that “intimidation” and “harassment” of school board members is not a federal crime. What’s more, what constitutes “intimidation and harassment” is in fact political dissent, which is protected under the First Amendment.
The AFLC continues by targeting the chilling effect AG Garland’s heavy-handed policy is having on American parents. When the DOJ states that it is “is committed to using its authority and resources to discourage these threats,” what it means is that the FBI could very well be monitoring school board meetings, taking note of what concerned parents are saying.
The policy also essentially creates a “snitch line” for irate school board members to complain about parents they don’t like. Put simply, it’s designed to help school boards push through progressive curricula over parents’ objections.
It’s unjustifiable that the Justice Department of a supposedly “free nation” would put its citizens in such a position. The lawsuit hopes to rectify the issue by forcing the DOJ to retract the new policy due to its unconstitutional nature.
Democrats used to be known as the party of “tolerance.” However, the Biden Administration’s recent actions make it clear this is so far from reality. The DOJ’s move to treat vociferous American parents like domestic terrorists, make it clear that Democrats will stop at nothing to get their way, even if they have to trample over basic human rights in the process.

It’s good to go after Garland, but he should be sued on a personal basis. Sue the DOJ is going after tax payers money. And same goes at local level city councilers who arrested and threaten parents. Those local official should be removed and licenses revoked. That was and is abuse of power.

NObody should have any legal rights to tell any parent how to care for their own child. School is for educational purpose, anything medical or political has no business being projected into our schools and involving our children whether their in kindergarten all through and up to college! The Biden administration was supposed to bring us closer together as a nation, instead its divided us even further. and further more the media needs to explain something, that if someone chooses not to get the vaccine, it doesn’t make them wrong, a murderer, and infection spreader of the virus!!!! You actually have to physically contract the virus, to spread it ! because those infected have to be quarantined for 10-14 days hello , then they can”t infect anyone other then the people they actually live with ! I am not a parent of school age children, but a great or great, great uncle. Starting this woke sh+t is out of control. I feel we are being invaded and ready to take arms to defend our liberties.

We are watching a Marxist government being installed quickly through removal by the “COVID-19” pandemic. Imagine if a majority of parents withdrew their children from public schools for just one year and stopped paying taxes, forcing schools to lay off teachers and administrators due to lack of funding. How might they react? Do you think they might have to beg to have the students back? What concessions might they be willing to make regarding control of the schools at that point? The taxpayers’ gravy train needs to be cut off at the source. Automatic deductions for paying taxes out of our paychecks is the first thing that needs to change. Stop allowing them to take our money and spend it on anti-American agendas like brainwashing our kids. If taxpayers would just grow some balls, making the necessary changes would be a whole lot easier.

I’ve been saying for a long time, “Parents, take your kids out of school”. Homeschooling can be done, it’s not that expensive, a few hundred a year, less than you spend on trash cable. Stop the indoctrination, and yes your kids are being trained to be Marxists, lied to about gender and sexual morality, abortion, etc, etc., and now they are being told that if you’re are white you’re evil. God looks at the heart, our hearts need to change, that means stop putting money and things before your children, love your children, spend time with them, protect them from the filth on TV, in video games and in the movies. I am only 72 years old but I can’t remember a time that the democratic party was “tolerant” of anything they disagree with.
That party has always threatened and harrassed anyone that disagreed with everything from lawsuits to actual charges.
Garland needs to be removed from his position of AG. The whole biden administration needs to be removed, the only problem is is it would be hard to impeach any of them while the democrats are in control of congress.
That would mean that they would have to impeach each other and they are not about to do that. Besides the democrats you have the rhino republicans.
The only way that they could be impeached is if the republicans regain control in the mid terms.
